King Charles Speaks Out After Prince Andrew Arrested on His Birthday

The British monarchy was rocked this morning after Prince Andrew was arrested in connection with the widening Jeffrey Epstein scandal — and now King Charles is breaking his silence.

Andrew, 66, was taken into custody following an early morning raid on his residence at Sandringham in Norfolk. Authorities confirmed that additional searches are being carried out at properties in Berkshire and Norfolk as part of an expanding criminal investigation.

In a carefully worded statement, King Charles addressed the arrest of his younger brother.

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” the monarch said. “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”

He added that the royal family would offer “full and wholehearted support and co-operation” to investigators but declined to comment further as the legal process unfolds.

Police confirmed they arrested “a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office” and said he remains in custody. The charge is serious — in the U.K., misconduct in public office carries a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said authorities had conducted a “thorough assessment” before formally opening the investigation. “We understand the significant public interest in this case,” Wright noted, adding that updates would be provided when appropriate.

The investigation reportedly centers on allegations Andrew may have shared sensitive information with Epstein during his time as the United Kingdom’s trade envoy. Authorities are also reviewing separate claims that a woman allegedly trafficked by Epstein was brought to Britain for an encounter with the prince.

Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing.

The arrest comes amid renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s global network following fresh document releases in the United States. Epstein, who was found dead in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, maintained relationships with powerful figures across politics, business, and royalty.

Andrew’s association with Epstein has long cast a shadow over the monarchy. In 2019, he stepped back from public duties after public backlash over his ties to the disgraced financier. He later settled a civil lawsuit in the United States brought by Virginia Giuffre, though he did not admit liability.

In recent months, Andrew had been living at Sandringham after reports surfaced that he was asked to vacate Royal Lodge in Windsor.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer weighed in on the broader implications of the case, stating, “Nobody is above the law.” He urged anyone with relevant information in Epstein-related matters to come forward.

The timing adds another layer of drama. Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday. Meanwhile, King Charles is scheduled to attend public engagements later today, signaling the monarchy’s attempt to maintain stability amid the unfolding scandal.

As investigators dig deeper into the Epstein network — and as international attention intensifies — the royal family now faces one of its most serious modern crises.

The question looming over Buckingham Palace: how far will this go?

  1. You can not blame the whole Royal family. They Work hard for the British people. Their. Duties are strenuous and have to live their lives in the public eye. One bad apple does not spoil the rest.

  2. Andrew was Queen Elizabth’s favorite child and he was spoiled, that didn’t work out well for him in long run when she was no longer around to protect his ‘bad behavior’.
