Barron Trump Quietly Launches New Drink Company

Barron Trump is stepping into the business world — and he’s doing it long before most kids his age finish figuring out their major. New filings show the 19-year-old has incorporated a drinks company called Sollos Yerba Mate Inc., hinting he’s ready to build a brand of his own.

According to documents filed in Delaware and Florida, Barron and four others were listed as company directors. One of the directors has already described the venture as a yerba mate beverage startup. The brand reportedly raised $1 million in capital through a private placement, according to SEC filings.

The company’s address sits just minutes from the Trump family’s Florida home, and two of the directors attended the same high school as Barron — adding fuel to speculation that this really is the former first kid’s first big business move.

Yerba mate, a South American herbal tea known for its caffeine kick, has exploded in popularity among Gen Z. So Barron’s timing? Pretty strategic.

But business isn’t the only thing pulling Barron out of the shadows.

During a recent Fox News appearance, Melania Trump unexpectedly opened up about her son’s growing role in shaping his father’s political comeback. She said Barron was heavily involved in pushing President Trump toward newer, younger media. According to Melania, he even convinced his dad to jump onto big “bro” podcasts — including Joe Rogan’s show — and helped map out which influencers and YouTubers the campaign needed to court.

“He gave him all of the ideas… who he needs to talk to,” Melania said. “He was really a smart mind behind it.”

Despite calling him brilliant, Melania also admitted she still treats her college-age son like he’s much younger. She told host Maria Bartiromo that Barron still needs “nonstop” attention, even as a sophomore at NYU’s Stern School of Business.

“He’s 19 years old… he understands politics… he gives advice to his father,” she said. “But you need to be there for a child nonstop.”

That comment didn’t sit well with critics, who argued the first lady appears overly protective of her now-adult son. Some called the dynamic “bizarre,” while another joked the Trump family has reached “Marine One level helicopter parenting.”

Melania has suggested there’s a reason behind her vigilance. In her new documentary, she reveals that ever since the July 2024 assassination attempt on President Trump, Barron becomes tense whenever he has to exit cars in public view. “I respect that,” she says. “It’s his decision.”

So while Barron’s stepping into entrepreneurship and political strategy, he’s also navigating life under extraordinary pressure — and with a mother who doesn’t plan to let him drift too far on his own.
