Prince William’s Jaw-Dropping New Yearly Income Leaves Brother Harry ‘Fuming’

Prince William has quietly pocketed a stunning new yearly income — and the massive figure is reportedly sending shockwaves straight to Montecito, where Prince Harry is said to be stewing over the growing gap between the royal brothers.

According to the newly released Duchy of Cornwall 2024–25 financial report, the future king raked in roughly $31.4 million over the past year from the centuries-old estate that traditionally bankrolls the heir to the throne. And insiders say the revelation has deepened long-running money tensions with Harry.

The timing couldn’t be worse for the Sussexes. Six years after ditching royal duties and chasing financial independence in California, Harry and Meghan’s once-sky-high commercial buzz has faded. Their splashy $100 million-plus partnerships with Netflix, Apple and Spotify have either shifted, stalled or downsized.

With ratings sliding and their first-look Netflix deal scaled back, pressure is reportedly mounting behind the scenes. Archewell Philanthropies has already cut 60 percent of its staff amid financial strain — a stark contrast to William’s guaranteed Duchy earnings.

One insider said the imbalance is hitting Harry hard: “From Harry and Meghan’s point of view, anytime they make money, people accuse them of cashing in on the crown. Meanwhile, William brings in tens of millions and it’s seen as perfectly acceptable. To them, it feels completely unfair.”

Those close to William insist he sees the Duchy income as part of his constitutional role — not personal spoils. The prince has reportedly doubled down on creating a “leaner, less indulgent” monarchy with fewer staff and less excess, a model he and Princess Catherine believe is crucial for public trust.

“William doesn’t think he owes Harry or Meghan any explanation,” a royal source said. “His duty is to the monarchy and the British public. He’s not losing sleep over how they interpret it.”

While the Sussexes publicly project calm, insiders say the couple has been quietly reassessing their long-term financial outlook. With their media momentum slowing and their brand losing some shine, they’re reportedly facing the uncomfortable question of whether leaving the royal fold was financially wise.

Another source said: “They would never admit it, but the gap between William’s security and their uncertainty really stings. There’s a deep, unspoken bitterness there.”

With William’s enormous earnings now out in the open, the brothers’ paths look more divided than ever — one cushioned by a centuries-old royal machine, the other trying to keep a California empire afloat as the spotlight dims.
