Prince William Braces for ‘Blowup’ as Harry Flies Back into UK Drama

Prince William is quietly beefing up his inner circle just as Prince Harry gears up to storm back into London for more courtroom fireworks – and he’s doing it with a crisis pro who’s being described as “bulletproof sunshine.”

The future king has reportedly hired top communications operator Liza Ravenscroft, a veteran media fixer with deep ties to royal circles and a résumé full of high-stakes crisis work.

Who is William’s new ‘bulletproof’ spin doctor?

Ravenscroft isn’t some random PR rookie. She’s worked inside the world of powerful institutions and media giants, leaning on her BBC journalism background to steer high-profile clients through scandals, boycotts, sexual misconduct claims, safety scares, and geopolitical messes.

Her own professional pitch says she helps clients “get past an issue as quickly as possible with minimum dents” – exactly the kind of language you want if your family’s scandals never stop trending.

One former boss even nicknamed her “bulletproof sunshine,” painting a picture of someone who can smile through the chaos while still protecting the brand.

Ravenscroft reportedly has connections to Julian Payne, the former communications secretary to King Charles and Queen Camilla, who has stayed close to the monarch behind the scenes. That’s sparked speculation this isn’t just any staff shuffle, but part of a bigger strategy to align Kensington Palace (William and Kate’s base) more tightly with Buckingham Palace.

According to one insider, the move comes “after a period of turmoil,” at a moment when “minds turn to William’s eventual succession.” Translation: the palace wants everyone singing from the same hymn sheet as the crown slowly shifts toward William.

Officially, Kensington Palace is playing it cool.

Insiders say Ravenscroft is joining the KP press office in a “non-crisis-based role,” handling day-to-day media dealings rather than parachuting in as a full-time fire extinguisher.

“People who work in communications for the Royal Household come from an array of backgrounds,” a source insisted, trying to dampen the idea that William is building a war room.

But with her crisis-heavy résumé and timing this precise, not everyone is buying that this is just another office hire.

All of this is happening as Prince Harry prepares to return to the U.K. for more courtroom drama with Associated Newspapers, in a case centered on allegations of illegal information gathering and serious invasions of privacy.

It’s the latest and possibly final chapter in Harry’s legal war with the British press – and you can bet every glare, shrug, and side-eye between him and the rest of the family will be photographed, analyzed, and dissected.

Add in the continuing storm clouds over Prince Andrew and his never-ending scandals, and it’s not hard to see why William might want a “bulletproof” operator at his side before the cameras start rolling again.

The message from the palace may be “nothing to see here” – but the hire, the timing, and the headlines say otherwise.

  1. Why doesn’t Harry just ride away with the love of his life and leave the Royals alone? Is it money they need or have they worn out their welcomes in other countries?
