NFL Star Attacks Woman in Explosive ‘Abortion Dispute’

Former NFL star Vernon Davis is facing serious legal trouble. A woman accused him of attacking her during a heated dispute. The dispute was over an abortion.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by TMZ, the woman alleges the incident happened at Davis’ home on May 31, 2025, after an argument erupted over her pregnancy. She claims the former San Francisco 49ers tight end struck her with books and magazines taken from under a television in his room.

In the complaint, the woman says Davis also offered her $10,000 during the confrontation. She claims the alleged assault stopped only after she pulled out her phone to begin recording what was happening.

Just days later, on June 7, the woman alleges another argument turned physical. She claims Davis slapped her across the face after she accused him of lying and warned her “not to question him.” In a conversation she says she recorded later that night, Davis allegedly told her, “If I really slapped you, your face would be blue/black.”

The woman further claims there was an earlier physical altercation before she learned she was pregnant that left her with visible bruises. She says that incident is connected to an open strangulation and assault case.

An arrest warrant for Davis was issued on January 8 for assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in court in February.

Davis, 41, was selected sixth overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers chose him after his standout college career at Maryland. He later won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos. He finished his NFL career with Washington and retired in 2020.

Since leaving football, Davis has pursued acting and business ventures. He has appeared in films and reality TV competitions. Davis has also served as a judge on multiple network shows.

The accusations surface less than a year after Davis publicly mourned the death of his younger brother. Former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis died in April 2024. In an emotional Instagram post last summer, Vernon expressed his willingness to trade his fame and fortune. He would do this for one more day with his brother. He wrote that no amount of success could fill the loss.
