Trump Assassination Fears Erupt After ‘Suspicious Object’ Discovered

Assassination fears around President Donald Trump are back in the spotlight after his motorcade was suddenly rerouted on the way to Palm Beach International Airport, all because security teams found a “suspicious object” near his usual path.

According to the White House, Trump was leaving Florida when Secret Service sweeps around the airport turned up something that immediately raised red flags. Officials refused to say exactly what was found, only calling it a “suspicious object.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the discovery was serious enough to force a last-minute change.

“A further investigation was warranted, and the presidential motorcade route was adjusted accordingly,” she said.

Trump, for his part, told reporters he knew “nothing” about the object.

On Sunday evening, Trump left Mar-a-Lago around 6:20 p.m. for Palm Beach International Airport, but instead of the usual direct stretch, his motorcade wound its way in a circular route around the city.

Police officers on motorcycles created a moving blockade, racing ahead to clear the streets. At one point, they reportedly came close to colliding with vans traveling in the motorcade.

Meanwhile, Air Force One wasn’t where it usually sits. The plane was parked on the opposite side of the airport, and lights outside the aircraft were turned off, adding to the sense of heightened security.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tried to tamp down the drama, saying the adjusted route was purely precautionary and calling it “standard protocol.”

This isn’t the first time security around Trump’s Florida departures has raised eyebrows.

Back in October 2025, the Secret Service launched an investigation after agents found an elevated hunting stand high in a tree near Palm Beach International Airport. The platform had a direct sight line to the area where Air Force One was parked.

“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sightline of the Air Force One landing zone,” FBI director Kash Patel said at the time.

No one was found at the scene. The FBI took over, bringing in teams to collect evidence and even using cell phone data tools to see who might have been nearby.

Patel noted that the stand hasn’t been linked to anyone, and added that structures like it are often left in wooded areas by bow hunters looking for a better vantage point.

Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino said the stand was taken down and shipped to a lab. Every high-tech tool available, from digital forensics to biometric analysis, is being used to figure out who put it there and why.

Security worries around Trump have been simmering for months.

In late 2025, concerns about him becoming an assassination target intensified after he welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the White House. Critics accused Trump of cozying up to a leader U.S. intelligence believes ordered the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Insiders in national security circles said the meeting created “unprecedented outrage” among people who feel Trump is selling out American values.

“Critics are calling Trump a disgrace to democracy for embracing Mr. Bone Saw and doing business with him after U.S. intelligence said he ordered Khashoggi’s murder,” one senior Washington advisor said.

Another source claimed Trump’s actions had “increased hundreds of percent” the odds that violent extremists inside the United States might view him as a legitimate target.

“There are patriots who genuinely believe he’s betrayed the country,” the source said. “When he fawns over a foreign autocrat tied to an American resident’s murder, he paints a bull’s-eye on himself. Some extremists will now feel justified in fantasizing about assassinating him.”

For now, officials insist the latest “suspicious object” may turn out to be nothing. But between hunting stands in the trees, darkened runways, and last-minute detours, it’s clear the team protecting Trump is acting like every threat could be real.
