‘Home Alone’ Star Daniel Stern Cited for Soliciting Prostitution

“Home Alone” villain Daniel Stern is trending again this Christmas — but this time, it’s not because he’s getting clobbered by Kevin McCallister’s booby traps.

According to Ventura County law enforcement, the 67-year-old actor was cited for allegedly soliciting prostitution on December 10 in Camarillo, California — smack in the heart of the holiday season, when the “Home Alone” movies are streaming on repeat in households across America.

Police documents obtained by TMZ say Stern was hit with the citation at a hotel in Camarillo, about an hour northwest of Los Angeles. Cops say he was allegedly trying to hire an escort when he crossed paths with law enforcement instead.

In a twist that will disappoint anyone hunting for a messy celebrity mug shot, there isn’t one: authorities say Stern was not formally booked into jail. Instead, he was issued a ticket on the spot and released, meaning no orange jumpsuit, no walk of shame — just a very awkward piece of paper and a potential legal headache.

The incident is just the latest chapter in Stern’s recent string of dramas in Ventura County. Back in October, he was rushed to the hospital after the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at a residence in Somis. Details about that scare were never fully explained, but it raised eyebrows at the time — and now this new allegation is only fueling more concern and curiosity about what’s going on behind the scenes.

For fans who grew up watching him as one half of the bumbling “Wet Bandits” (and later “Sticky Bandits”) duo, the irony is brutal. In the movies, Stern’s character is the guy slipping on ice, getting hit in the face with irons, and stumbling through disaster after disaster. In real life, he’s now facing a different kind of slapstick — a very real legal mess tied to an alleged attempt to pay for sex in a hotel room.

Social media is already lighting up with jokes and shock, with some fans saying their childhoods feel “low-key ruined” and others cracking dark one-liners about Stern taking the “Wet Bandit” thing way too literally.

As for Stern himself, he’s staying silent. TMZ reports that his team has been contacted for comment, but so far there’s been no response — no denial, no explanation, and no statement about what really went down in that Camarillo hotel just weeks before Christmas.

  1. He wanted a prostitute. Since when is that news? Men do that all the time. It is not a scandal, and he did not do anything wrong (well, morally perhaps, but in this day and age, so what?)
