Is something going on with Jerry Seinfeld?
The 71-year-old comedy legend is reportedly in full health-panic mode—hitting the gym harder than ever, changing his diet, and obsessing over staying sharp—all because he’s terrified of one thing: dementia.
According to sources close to the star, Seinfeld’s been consumed with anxiety about his long-term health and has completely overhauled his lifestyle.
“He’s working out like a man half his age,” a source told RadarOnline. “It’s not just about staying in shape for the stage—he’s terrified of diseases like dementia, cancer, Parkinson’s, you name it.”
Speculation about Seinfeld’s health started swirling last year after he appeared off-balance during a televised interview. Viewers noticed one of his hands shaking and his head bobbing slightly—prompting fears he might be dealing with early signs of Parkinson’s.
But insiders say Jerry brushed off the rumors, privately insisting there’s no diagnosis—just a deep-seated fear driving his new health obsession.
“Jerry’s hitting the weights, doing cardio, watching what he eats—it’s become like a second career,” the insider said. “He’s always been a bit neurotic, but this is next level.”
And it’s not just about him. His wife, 54-year-old Jessica Seinfeld, is reportedly all-in on the mission. She’s overseeing his meals and nutrition plan, making sure every bite he eats is clean and brain-friendly.
“She’s a fantastic cook, but Jerry’s the one putting in the daily grind,” the insider added. “He wakes up at the crack of dawn to train in his home gym before Jessica even makes breakfast.”
While some might think this is a late-life vanity project, the source says that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“He’s scared. He’s seen too many of his heroes go downhill with age-related illness, and he refuses to be next.”
Still touring and doing stand-up, Jerry’s determined to stay on top of his game—and to stay around for his three adult kids.
So, is this just Jerry being Jerry? Or is there something deeper going on behind the laughter?
