Man Crushes His 1-Year-Old Son After Being Shot

A witness told police they saw a vehicle pull up to the house and a “large volley of shots being fired into the neighboring residence.”

Police tried to make contact with anyone inside the home, but had no luck. They forced their way into the home and found a deceased adult male and an unresponsive infant.

The child was transported to a local hospital, where he later died, officials said.

The adult male was later identified as 31-year-old Kenneth Morrison and the infant was Tatee’k Morrison, KTVQ-TV reported.

At a press conference, Billings Police Chief Rich St. John said it “appears the male collapsed on the child.”

During an investigation, detectives were able to obtain a description of the suspect’s vehicle and found it at a residence in Billings. Another witness told investigators they saw people get out of the truck, run into the house and then flee into a neighboring house, authorities said.

Officers locked down the residences and the local SWAT team arrived. After five hours, ten people surrendered and were detained, officials said.

However, no arrests have been made in connection with the deaths of Kenneth and Tatee’k Morrison, authorities said.
