Jennifer Aniston has clarified her reasons for liking a controversial tweet from Jamie Foxx.
The Ray actor, 55, who is currently recovering from a medical scare, shared a cryptic post on his Instagram page which seemed to contain antisemitic tropes.
He wrote on his Instagram Story and grid: ‘They killed this dude name Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you?’
The actor has since deleted the post, but it was screenshotted and shared by multiple Jewish groups online, with some people pointing out that Friends star Aniston, 54, had ‘liked’ the post.
After receiving backlash, she has cleared the air on the matter and blasted those that suggested she supports ‘any form of antisemitism.’
Taking to her own Instagram Stories and sharing a post from A Wider Frame about Foxx, she said: ‘This really makes me sick. I did not ‘like’ this post on purpose or by accident.

‘And more importantly, I want to be clear to my friends and anyone hurt by this showing up in their fees – I do NOT support any form of antisemitism. I truly don’t tolerate HATE of any kind. Period.’
The Times of Israel explained that Foxx’s post can be seen to reference the ‘Jewish deicide’, a belief that ‘Jews are collectively responsibly for the killing of Jesus.’
Foxx has not yet addressed the post or the backlash it has received.
The Oscar-winning actor is recovering after being rushed to hospital with a mystery illness in April and spent several weeks in hospital receiving treatment.
However, Jamie’s family did not disclose what caused his medical emergency and the actor has kept details of his ordeal under wraps, only returning to social media to thank fans for their unwavering support and to promote his work projects.
He recently thanked his sister in an emotional birthday post for playing a pivotal part in getting him help while he was ill.
Alongside a sweet photo of them together, Jamie wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my beautiful for sister @frequency11 “D”… you are magical you are beautiful you are the courageous lionesses #leoseason.
‘And without you I would not be here… had you not made the decisions that you made I would’ve lost my life…. I love you forever and ever happy birthday sis.’
CORRECTION BLACK MAN: Jesus died for your sin. He died for mine and all who are reading this. He died for those who had already died and those who would die in the future, as HE died one time for everyone. Now Its up to us to not allow HIM to die in vein for us personally. If you dont accept His Gift of Salvation, then you spit in His face and you have Him die for nothing regarding your miserable life due to your lack of participation in accepting His free gift.
WE, Man, Black, White, Yellow, Brown, Middle Eastern killed HIM. We killed HIM because of our selfishness our decision not to accept God as GOD and acted like Adam and Eve.
So The GOVERNMENT is who killed HIM, along with all they are killing now and the only Difference: Jesus died because He allowed them to take His life so you could have a personal relationship with HIM, His Father and Their Holy Spirit.
I thought you had learned but nope and yet God and Christ saved you at least twice and thats how you repay him. Puke
