SHOCKING: 4-Year-Old Walks into DC Hospital with Gunshot Wound

A four-year-old girl was treated at a D.C. hospital after she walked in Saturday morning suffering from a gunshot wound to her shoulder, according to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

The girl was breathing and conscious at the time of her arrival at the medical facility, but police have not released any further updates on the child’s condition.

The shooting is believed to have happened in the 1800 block of 28th Place on the southeast side of the city.

Police have not provided local TV station FOX 5 or Fox News Digital details on what led up to the shooting or if any chargers are involved.

The injury was reportedly self-inflicted and the girl was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle, MPD said.

The handgun was left by an unknown suspect in an area where the girl was able to access it, police said.

No further details were immediately available.
