Law & Order: SVU showrunner David Graziano has been accused of mistreating women and creating a ‘super toxic’ workplace on his sets.
Graziano, who took the helm of showrunner over the summer, oversaw the record-breaking 24th season premiere in September, however, trouble brewed behind the screen when script coordinator Haley Cameron suddenly left.
When a listing for her replacement was put on listerv, which circulates widely among script coordinators who work with show writers, Cameron posted a warning for those looking to succeed her, the Los Angeles Times reported.
‘The new showrunner, David Graziano, is a very unprofessional, ego-centric, and immature man,’ she wrote. ‘I have been in this industry a long time, and I have never experienced such pure, white-male misogyny.’
‘I urge you — especially women — to think twice before putting yourself in a position that could end as badly as mine did.’
The criticism was echoed by others who worked with Graziano on sets, claiming he was a toxic boss who had a proclivity to pick on women.
Amy Hartman, who worked as a script coordinator under Graziano, weighed in with her own experience while on set with him in the 2021 drama Coyote.
‘Graz is super toxic and I’ve never run from a job so fast in my life as I did when I SC’ed for him,’ she wrote on the Listerv posting. ‘Stay away.’
She told the Times that Graziano’s problems on set were well known, and she was shocked to learn that he became the showrunner for Law & Order: SVU (Special Victims Unit), a series that centers on violence and abuse of power with predominantly female victims.
‘I was completely floored that he was working again and working on that show,’ Hartman said.
Alafair Hall, a spokesperson for Graziano, denied the claims and said that Cameron was fired over Graziano’s concerns that she was ‘unprofessional,’ claiming she made unapproved changes to the show’s script in her one-month stint on Law and Order: SVU.
‘The implication that Mr. Graziano created a hostile work environment, or is sexist, inappropriate, and unprofessional is false,’ Hall said.
Representatives from NBCUniversal, which runs Law and Order, did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
The women were not the only ones to publicly come out against Graziano. Fellow Coyote script coordinator David James described working with Graziano as pure ‘misery.’
‘Coyote was easily the worst job I’ve had in Hollywood,’ he told the Times. ‘I thought after this show no one would give [Graziano] another show to run.’
James accused Graziano of berating staffers, claiming that people were left crying ‘daily’ over their encounters with the showrunner.
Paloma Lamb, who was a writers’ production assistant on the show, said Graziano ‘always commented on women’s appearances.’
Lamb accused Graziano of overworking her, giving her odd jobs and handling personal chores, which Lamb said she had to take in stride in order to keep her career intact.
‘I wanted to be a writer and I was like, OK, he’s not sexually assaulting me. This is probably good,’ she told the Times.
Others who asked to speak under the condition of anonymity claimed Graziano was quick to shut down ideas from female writers on Coyote and had made inappropriate comments about women and people of color.
Both Hartman and Lamb noted incidents where Graziano apparently lashed out at the crew for seven-minutes over not being given his lunch.
Regarding the allegations from Coyote staffers, Graziano’s spokesperson denied the allegations of sexism and racism and said that his client was in a lot of ‘physical pain’ during the production which caused him to be irate with the staff.
‘Mr. Graziano snapped at people and was generally in a bad mood,’ Hall said. ‘While he does not view his pain as an excuse, it is an explanation and he regrets lashing out.’
Hall added that Sony launched an investigation into the allegations against Graziano on the set of Coyote and cleared him of ‘any wrongdoing,’ as did NBCUniversal regarding the complaints on Law and Order.

LOOKS LIKE BIDEN/SONY/&NBCUNIVERSAL ALL HAVE THAT “OLDTIMERS DISEASE”…….. TYPICAL OF THE PERVERTED DEMS/RINOS/LEFTISTS…….
Talk about hypocritical hiring a show that is supposed to be about sexual violence hires this ass and if there is more than one complaint it’s probably true
