Joe Biden’s Car Gets Mobbed en Route to Queen’s Funeral

Joe Biden’s armoured car was surrounded by crowds as he tried to make it through London traffic to get to the Queen’s funeral today (19 September). Check it out:

The US President and his wife Jill arrived in the UK on Saturday night (17 September) ahead of the ceremony, which started at 11am today.

While many leaders of states had reportedly been told to refrain from using their private jets and cars, an exception was made for Biden.

As the leader of one of the world’s most powerful countries, he rocked up to Stansted Airport in his Air Force One jet.

Biden and the First Lady were also allowed to attend in the presidential armoured Cadillac, known as ‘The Beast’, which was seen grinding to a halt in a busy central London today.

Footage shared on TikTok shows the bullet-proof vehicle at the back of a motorcade outside of a Pret coffee shop near Marble Arch.

Met Police officers were on standby for security measures as the entourage made their way through the busy street towards Westminster Abbey.

A number of people have commented on the clip, with one writing, “So much for going green lol,” and another saying, “Joe Biden must think it’s a state visit.”

Over the weekend, the President shared a photo of he and his wife signing the official condolence book for the Queen.

Biden is among the many politicians, diplomats and royals from across the globe who have descended upon the capital to pay their respects to the late monarch today, with a whopping 4.1 billion people predicted to tune in to the livestream.
