A pilot threatened to turn the plane around and end everyone’s vacation before it had begun if they didn’t stop sending nude photographs around via AirDrop.
The whole strange announcement was captured on video by passenger Teighlor Marsalis, who filmed the pilot stating that he’d have to ‘pull back into the gate, everybody’s going to have to get off.’
The pilot added: “We’re going to have to get security involved.”
In the rest of the video, which has since been viewed more than two million times, the aircraft’s captain said that everyone’s ‘vacation is going to be ruined’ if the activity didn’t stop.
“Whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures, and let’s get yourselves to Cabo,” he added.
The whole scene unfolded on a Southwest Airlines flight to Cabo, Mexico, and is slightly reminiscent of that scene in The Simpsons where the kids are complaining in the back of a car before the angry dad receives a slap on the back of the head from Nelson Muntz.
However, instead of ‘back to Winnipeg!’ this plane hadn’t even managed to get off the floor yet before the threats to cancel the flight altogether started.
We can only assume that people were using AirDrop to send things through to people unsolicited, which isn’t a very nice thing to do, in fairness.
Still, the pilot’s measured and considered tone and threat has amused people online.
In fact, more than 1,000 people have commented on the original TikTok video, which was shared four days ago.

Most of them are just laughing at the ‘major dad vibes’ they’re getting from the man in charge of the plane.
One said: “’Don’t make me come back there’ vibe.”
Another wrote: “Like a school bus driver with a bunch of rowdy kids.”
A third commented: “I’m gonna turn this plane around and everyone’s vacation will be ruined. Haha major dad vibes.”
Some of the others who have seen it are a little less happy-go-lucky, with one person seriously noting: “Pilot has ultimate authority.
“He doesn’t need a reason.
“If he doesn’t like something that’s his choice.”
Was anyone suggesting otherwise?
Another viewer lamented: “Remember when people didn’t need to talk to adult like they were children?”
Regardless, we’ll have to assume that the activity did stop in the end, and that they did manage to get to their vacation without further incident, with Teighlor posting further TikToks afterwards which appeared to be from Cabo.
