Multiple Shot in Washington D.C.

Multiple people were shot Wednesday afternoon in the Truxton Circle neighborhood of Northwest Washington, according to D.C. police.

Few details were immediately available. Police said they were sorting out precisely how many people were wounded and their conditions. At least two people are reported to have life-threatening injuries, police said. It is believed that 5 people were shot in total.

The shooting occurred near O Street and North Capitol Street, in Northwest D.C. The area is near a fatal shooting that occurred hours earlier, on Florida Avenue NW.

The earlier shooting occurred shortly before 2:10 a.m. in the 200 block of Florida Avenue NW. Police said Ahmad Clark, 25, of Bristow, Va., was pronounced dead at the scene, and a woman was taken to a hospital for gunshot injuries. Police said she is expected to survive.

Police could not immediately say if there was any connection between the two shootings.

  1. Who did these shootings? Was it Muslim?, Indian?, Black? I know it wasn’t white or it would have been quickly published.
