A Tennessee Wendy’s manager was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly poured hot fryer oil on a drive-thru customer who demanded his money back because his food was cold.
Demarrus Pritchett, 23, was captured dousing Zayveon Johnson with oil on camera at the Wendy’s in Huntingdon, a town about 115 miles from Nashville.
Johnson asked for a refund at the drive-thru window and argued with Pritchett about his food, which he said was was cold. Police said the manager left the window, then returned with a metal pan of frying oil and covered Johnson with it.
He was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital where he was treated for burns on his left side and arm.
Police said Pritchett admitted to throwing the oil at Johnson and was taken to a Carroll County jail on charges of aggravated assault. He was later released after posting a $5,000 bail.
Johnson’s mother told WCCB Wednesday that her son was in poor condition and that she hopes ‘justice is served.’
This is not the first incident at a Tennessee Wendy’s location. 
Keith Johnson Jr, 21, was accused of threatening a customer with a gun at a Wendy’s drive-thru on the Louisiana State University campus October 3, according to Newsweek.
Johnson, who was an employee at the location, allegedly threatened three people in the restaurant, according to a statement from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
Two women and a man got help from two deputies standing outside the Wendy’s and told them someone inside ‘the restaurant (the defendant) was threatening them with a gun’, a police statement read.
Deputies went inside and found the defendant holding a small bag with an extended weapon magazine sticking out.
Officers arrested Johnson and found two guns as well as marijuana in the bag.
He was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was charged with carrying a gun in a firearm-free zone, aggravated assault and simple possession of marijuana.
